While on the topic of the chicken v. egg, I must point out why chicken is superior:
a standard portion of it gives you more proteins at relatively less calories, compared to eggs. I love eggs, too, but if I eat 4 eggs, I get 24 gms proteins while taking in around 300 calories, plus the 200-odd from the oil (EVOO or coconut oil). With skinless chicken breast, I would get 60 grams of protein at 320 cals plus oil. The big clincher in the debate would be, IMO, the enormous satiety that eating 200 gms of chicken gives me, something eggs don't.
Of course, if you aren't bothered about calories and fat loss, the above is immaterial, largely.
