    I take 2 caps of Flameout per day = 1100mg DHA/ 440mg EPA, and a tablespoon of Flax USA Organic Cold Milled flax seed.

To that end, I don't eat beef other than locally grass-fed, I buy cheese that's from grass-fed cows, eat only wild-caught fish and organically grown produce, etc.
    I agree with your sentiments. I gave up supplementing with fish oil due to contamination concerns.

    Here's a link that some of you may find interesting regarding fish oil. Most of it is over my head but it was a link provided as part of Mike Mahler's Optimizing Hormones series;

    Apart from whole food sources, I supplement with flaxseed oil and chia seed oil, I rotate them every couple of weeks or so.

    I've also just started taking a marine algae DHA supplement that provides 500mg DHA / cap;

    I'm not so fussed about EPA, I eat enough sardines and fresh salmon to cover that I think.

    Oh great, that pretty much negates all of the fish oil claims. Yikes!

    I think quantity of dose depends on the purpose of taking fish oil. Normally you can take 1000mg as supplement but for any special purpose it can be much higher.

    My wife and I are both enjoying taking Udo's by the spoonful instead of fish oil by the capsule. We each have one tablespoon AM and another PM.
