Tommorow will be 45 days on WD - half way there!!!. Began WD April 1st and as of today my total wt loss is 23lbs. From 212lbs to 189lbs. All that I can say is that this really, REALLY works for me. I can now fit comfy in my 34 inch Levis trousers which 6 weeks ago was very snug and uncomfortable. I can even button up a size 32 inch trousers but THAT is a tight fit. I am never hungry during the day. During most of the day food is not even on my radar screen. For the feast meal I am getting better at food prep. This is important - that food has got to taste good! I rotate beef, fish and chicken with lots of cooked fresh vegs. I eat it all in proper order and take my time while eating. My sister had been following a diet called FAST METABOLISM. Which is not a bad eating plan, but requires a bit more planning and measuring. She watched my progress on WD and promptly dumped FM and now is losing wt on WD along with me. She can't believe how easy and SIMPLE it is and is happy about her progress after only one week. On Mothers Day I took the day off from WD and had an early lunch of fish tacos with family at a restuarant in town. I gave myself permission and still lost weight the next day.

As for strength training. I am now doing the 3 Day Split BB routine from Purposeful Primitive and morning power walks. Decided to give ETK a rest for this 90 day period and follow a BB routine. Making gains in all the lifts but mainly LEARNING the lifts. The fat is coming off like I am taking a blow torch to it. My training days are supplemented with Protein powder - before and after a session.

The 23lbs wt loss is a big deal when I hit the pullup bar. I can now crank out 14-15 pullups (not to failure) where as before my elbows hurt at 7 or 8 pullups. Also, pushups are a breeze now. I think I even create a breeze when I be cranking out them pushups..hehe!! Compared to before the wt loss I feel like Spider Man. Or even the guy ( Jeffrey Goldblum I believe) in the Sci-Fi movie THE FLY. So my relative strength ( CC strength) has gone up. I suspect my max strength has slipped abit. I consider it a good trade-off as my sense of overall fitness and health feels top notch to me. I haven't felt this good and in control of my body since I graduated USMC bootcamp 40 years ago. If I lose another 15lbs or more in the next 45 days I am seriously considering focusing only on CC for a protracted time just to see how far I can take it. Maybe give it a year. No weights or kbs. Just bw training. I have allways had a secret longing to acheive a one arm pushup(s). Losing all this weight surely puts it in the realm of possiblity. Who knows?!?!..hehe!!!...Dennis

This thread is a real inspiration! I'm on about week four of trying the Warrior Diet. 11lbs!! Without feeling deprived at all. Even when people sabatoge me, birthdays at work, visits with Mom, I can indulge without stress and the weightloss keeps chugging along! Ori specifically talks in the book about the freedom this diet provided, and he is right.

BTW, how fun is it never feeling stuffed, even when you eat like a monster?

60 days on WD! My weight loss has slowed down. This morning I weighed in at 182.4 lbs. Almost 30 lbs weight lost since Apr 1st. When I get into the 170's lbs that will be BIG! Last time I was there was around 1974. Some days I even gain a little or the weight stays steady. But fat loss is still happening daily. I see it - I sense it. Getting stronger and progressing with the Purposeful Primitive 3 day split barbell program. DLs just keep going up every time I lift. Still working on the bench presses though. They are much harder to move forward on - but thats okay as I am still learning correct pressing form. On days I don't lift I do Steady-State cardio jogs/runs with my Bulgarian Training Bag 30-40 minutes. This is up from 20 min Power Walks. In another week I am cyclying over from 3 day split to Mayler's EDT program. All in all this has been a very good diet experience. I do day dream sometimes about GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE. With walnuts and cherries with a side of French Vannila icecream and a real Italian cappocino coffee. One more month and I'm there!!!...Dennis

Tomorrow will be 90 days on WD. Apr 1st I was 212lbs. Today I am at 179.6lbs. About 32lbs wt loss. Into the 170's. This is most successful I have ever been at losing bf consistantly and abstaining/restricting (except for a couple of planned events) foods that I determined to be off limits while on the 90 day transformation. Today I plan to purchase some German Paulaner beer. I got a huge Octoberfest type beer mug for the occassion. Also, for dinner BRAUTWURST and sauerkrut. Dessert German chocolate cake with french vannilla icecream. I do plan to continue with WD - but not as restrictive in the things I like to eat and drink. Key is to self correct when I cross a line that I will determine in the next week or so. The knowledge that I held true to the program for the 90 day time span will strengthen my resolve when I do so again.

My blood results for my physical were MORE than what I expected. I even got a phone call from my primary care doctor from Tinker AFB - who wanted to know I was doing and gave me readings over the phone. Such a big contrast from last years results. (last year was not too bad btw) The results indicated OPTIMINE all across the board. Liver, kidney function, HDL/LDL, everything indicated top notch health. This for me is the big enchilada. Weight loss was just incidental to what the WD did for me...Dennis

Dr. Jakari Griffith said, If you keep training and take in what the diet plan plan suggests in proteins you should be able to maintain muscular. Just don't anticipate any type of benefits in huge or durability while you are in a losing weight method.

I do the love the warrior diet. I leaned out immensely on it and got stronger and more productive throughout the day as a result of following it principles. Lately due to my long days I have been doing a combination of the WD and micro fasting. that seems to be working really well for me. I will keep everyone posted.

In the event you hold doing exercises and experience what this diet endorses in health proteins people must be able to preserve muscle mass. Simply will not anticipate almost any benefits in bulk as well as strength while you're within a weight-loss method.

I disagree, one may get stronger by using feed forward tension even while losing fat. Muscle mass well, that is another issue entirely
