    Default 0 carbs diet.

What diet works better, 0 carbs or balanced eating?

Depends on your goals, zero carbs for short term, but you tend to balloon up when you go off of it. Balanced, high fat, moderate protein, lower complex carbs seems to work best for me over the long term.

There is a popular theory that claims low-carb diets are particularly effective for fat loss because they decrease levels of the hormone insulin, thereby increasing the amount of fat that’s released from fat tissue. Some people even claim that without reducing insulin it is not possible to reduce body fat. So there is not a metabolic advantage of a low-carb diet.
