Ok.. If you read that post I never said how fast I lost the weight. Simply that it came off fast and that I hit 110 around a year ago. I did make some really fucking stupid choices. This I'll admit. However, a year spent doing nothing but sitting in the library and searching pub med and scouring boards like this will start to educate one. I believe at this point I do have a good deal of knowledge to offer. Above all, I know the pitfall to avoid to you dont end up with an eating disorder or emaciated. I respect your opinion though and understand what you are saying.

Yeah you could. Though I doubt most on the board were afflicted with your childhood obesity in junior high.

    Default Listen to Garm...

he went from morbidly obese to merely really fat in a couple months - amazing.

No one wants to look like Jon - real men want to build a nice shed over their tool.

    Default Fat, hetero, proud

Bill, isn't there a lot of evidence to fabricate this afternoon? Gotta get it done so as to not miss your appointment at the tanning salon and subsequent aromatherapy session. Please post as many of those dreamy shirtless pics as possible, I've been making a killing reselling them at gay web sites.

Ouchy! I hate when that happens. BTW: Last night was Sub Par, your powerlifting and "manly eating" isnt doing much for neither your size nor stamina.

I think my 40 is around 4.6 and not quite sure on my vertical. I should measure that. I havent maxed my DL or BP in a while - will be doing so and the end of this week. As for the help, no problem. According to some people here I am not worth listening to. Oh well - decide for yourself

Default That post from last week surprised me

    Jonathon,

I do think you do know a lot about this stuff and make a real contribution. The path you've followed before recently (not now) sounded very dangerous, however.

42% is a huge change in body weight. If I understand correctly, you've actually gained weight on WD. You tend to talk about changes in fat & hydration from an aesthetic standpoint, e.g. bloat, rather than what it does to your strength/energy levels. The fact that you also mentioned dropping to 110 without any qualifiers, like, "That wasn't a good idea," suggested that maybe you had something weird going on. When it comes to others emmulating what you did (in effect "bulking up" to 155 on WD), I felt the need to say, "Hang on a second."

You're obviously following a real S&C program that demands strength and energy, as well as a real diet now, and in terms of physique you've reached a goal lots of people want but can't/won't. Everything else will pretty much self-correct, since any underating will most likely get eliminated if you're following heavy workouts like Crossfit's WODs. But your previous path of the last couple years strikes me very strongly as something not to emmulate.

I also shouldn't have casually thrown around terms like "eating disorder," since I don't know you or what your personal experience is. Like I said in an earlier post, generalizations don't necessarily apply to individuals. Sorry about that.
