Hey guys,
i read on Baggett's site This Ain't Rocket Science
re the simplicity of strength for benefits to sports.
Once every day or two he'd go in there and pick it up off the floor for a single or double and he progressively added weight over time. In 6 months he'd put over 100 pounds on his deadlift and 6 inches on his jump and really didn't even have a routine..
Is this a good idea Pavel or comrades?
I play sport regularly; do running for conditioning as well as snatches and weighted pullups.
so
if i did a daily deadlift at 90 to 95% 1RM and added 5lbs per week for 6 months.....
do you think this would be dangerous.
would i do an extensive warmup or short Joint Mob drill? to deal with such heavy weights?
i heard in whitleys interview with pavel a while back he recommended for sports, that athletes should focus on singles, doubles and triples in say the deadlift.
So i was thinking: 1 set of 1 rep or 2 reps daily, adding 5lbs every week.
I guess this is sorta similar to the bearpowered protocol?
thanks guys for your opinions.
jon
