An Experimentation with Grubbery

Hello to all,

I have decided to act as a human guinea pig and run an experiment on my blog. I am allowing all my visitors to vote on a diet/nutrition program for me to follow for the next three months. I am doing this so that way it gives everyone a chance to see whether or not a diet program that they have been curious about works or not (for me at least!). I will be taking before and after pictures, body fat measurements, and be logging any other effects of the diet such as mood, energy levels, libido, etc.

Here are a few of the following possible options:

1.warrior diet
2.eat stop eat
3.Slow carb diet
4. Low carb/ketogenic diet
5. Paleo diet

Head over to my blog to cast your vote. Thank you to all who choose to participate, this should be quite exciting!

since all of those diets have already been done and documented by people many times what is it your going to prove? Since there are so many variables involved in a nutrition study, an experiment of 1 person really won't provide any quantifiable results usable by anyone else.

Read the blog post and I think you'll have a better understanding of what it is I am doing. I am not intending to "prove" anything, it is simply a self experiment.

I realize there are many other variables and I discuss that in my post. I will hold all else constant (ceteris paribus), and make it known exactly what those variables are (training, sleep, etc).

I also realized many of these have been documented many times before, but none the less I still am constantly asked about my opinions on many of them, so I have decided to just let my followers see the effects for themselves. It should be fun and quite interesting. Thanks for posting

Comrade Pat, an interesting experiment. I posted a comment and my vote for the WD on your blog, with the suggestion to read/reread Ori's Maximum Muscle book - you shouldn't have to lose weight on the WD if you don't want to.

The way I interpret the WD is that I don't have a meal during the day - that doesn't mean I don't eat, but I don't have a sit-down with a big plate of food. If I'm having a very active day, you might find me eating often, too, but the spirit of the WD is still guiding my food choices and my timing.

Comrades, Pat walks the walk - he's a trainer who has achieved excellent results for himself in terms of both strength and body composition, and he's helped his clients do the same - one can't ask for much more than that.

ESE, just for personal curiousity. I'm very early on in it, but I have a lot more weight to lose than you do. If it can rip you even further, hey, maybe it can rip me.
